What Mill-Tech Can do for you.
Type
Mechanical Engineering
Description
Overview:
Complete mechanical design support from concept through to production, from individual components to full machine assemblies. Whether you’re developing a single prototype or a full production system, we deliver CAD models, detailed prints, and CNC-ready files that make fabrication straightforward.
Experience:
More than two decades of mechanical engineering and product development, including full machine design for heavy equipment, aftermarket components, chassis structures, jigs and fixtures. Over that time, we’ve designed and detailed 20,000+ parts, from one-off prototypes to high-volume components.
Approach:
We use advanced CAD, simulation, and reverse-engineering tools to optimize for fit, function, and manufacturability. By designing with fabrication and assembly in mind, we ensure a smooth hand-off from model to the shop floor.
Results
-
Eliminates costly rework by getting the design right the first time
-
Improve fit and function on complex assemblies
-
Accelerates the path from concept to production

Type
3D Scanning
Description
Overview:
High-resolution LED/laser scanning for reverse engineering, inspection, and digital modeling. We capture accurate part geometry and convert it into editable CAD files.
Experience:
We have hands-on experience with advanced scanning and surface-processing tools like Geomagic Essentials, allowing us to capture accurate part geometry and turn it into editable CAD data.
Approach:
By combining rapid and laser scan modes (up to 0.04 mm accuracy), we create precise digital models in OBJ, STL, or PLY formats for design, machining, or 3D printing workflows.
Results
-
Accurate digital references for custom or legacy parts
-
Faster fit-up and prototype validation
-
Streamlined transition from physical part to CAD model

Type
Manufacturing Consulting
Description
Overview:
We extend our capacity with vetted partners. When a job needs higher volume or specialty work—laser cutting, precision forming, powder coat, anodize, etching, hydraulics, wiring/electrical, motors and powertrain—we manage it end-to-end to the same standard as our own shop.
Experience:
Over 20 years in manufacturing and production management, spanning engineering, supplier sourcing, and shop-floor execution. Managed 35-to-55-person production lines, supported robotic welding operations, and worked directly with vendors across fabrication, machining, hydraulics, wiring, and powertrain components. We know which shops deliver accurate parts, maintain schedules, and stand behind their work.
Approach:
We review your design, select the right materials and processes, and coordinate with proven suppliers to deliver parts right the first time.
Results
-
Reliable suppliers without the trial-and-error
-
Consistent quality across multiple vendors
-
Smoother operations and fewer schedule surprises

Type
CNC Plasma Cutting
Description
Overview:
Our in-house 5 × 12 ft CNC plasma table, powered by a Hypertherm 45 XP, is set up for high-quality cutting on steel and aluminum up to 1/2 inch. It’s ideal for prototypes, custom parts, and short runs where quick turnaround and flexibility are key.
Experience:
We’ve spent years designing and working with sheet metal parts, so we know how to get clean, accurate results even within plasma tolerances.
Approach:
The machine is dialed in for consistent cut quality, tight nesting, and efficient processing. Giving a reliable finish without the wait or cost of outsourcing.
Results
-
Fast turnaround for prototypes and one-offs
-
Clean, repeatable cuts that reduce post-processing
-
Parts delivered ready for forming or assembly

Type
CNC Press Brake & Tube Bending
Description
Overview:
We handle sheet metal forming and tube bending in-house for both structural and cosmetic parts. Our CNC brake press with a backstop allows for accurate, repeatable bends up to 3ft wide, while Bend-Tech software helps us determines complex angles accurately for tube bending and notching.
Experience:
Familiar with how bend allowance, tooling, and material spring back affect final dimensions, we account for real world forming behavior to ensure accurate fit.
Approach:
We use a CNC brake press for accurate, repeatable bends and a manual tube bender in combination with Bend Tech 7 for custom work.
Results
-
Fast turnaround
-
Accurate, repeatable bends
-
Components delivered ready for final assembly
